St.Agnes Catholic Girls’ Boarding Primary school was founded in 1922 by mother Mary Kevin the founders of the Franciscan sisters for Africa and Little sisters of St. Francis. She started it to cater for a girl-child’s education and uplift the status of women in society.
She dedicated the school under the patronage of St.Agnes who in her young age fought for her rights/virginity and died as a martyr.
The school aims at bringing up an all round person by putting into consideration the following objectives:
• Inculcate good moral behaviour
• Promote strong academic standard
• Lay strong academic foundation, high sense of discipline and many others. All in all it caters for spiritual. Moral, physical mental development.
The school Administration was handed over to the Little Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in 1958 who have kept it up to date.
